  • The Kindergarten and First Grade District Assessments for reading and writing for the 2010-2011 school year will be, The Measurement of Academic Progress. (MAP)  All First Grade teachers will need to also administer the following three assessments for CLIP placement.
  1. Letter ID
  2. Dictation
  3. Vocabulary Words I know
  • The Second through Sixth Grade Assessments have not changed.  The Measurement of Academic Progress (MAP) protocol is now being utilized for reading and writing. 
  • The Writing Day Assessment is not required by the District; however, the Assessment tool may be accessed from the website, if your school wishes to continue to incorporate the Assessment.

This is the new GVC for 2010-2011 school year. Please consider this to be a working document as we learn more about the National Common Core Standards. We would appreciate any input, comments, or advice regarding this working document. We anticipate creating a blog site, as well as a template for you to give us feedback, input, concerns, etc... about the GVC document itself, as well as implementation practices. Please look for this in the near future on this web-site.
It is our intent to review the document yearly to ensure quality, fidelity, intensity, and cinsistency.Thank-you in advance for your efforts to help us ensure a quality education for all LCSD #1 students. You make the difference!
